Nia MOVE IT

Nia MOVE IT is a revolutionary approach to whole body fitness integrating the best of exercise science, modern interval training and somatic movement through Nia's sensory-based approach to fitness.  By isolating each of the 52 moves that are the foundational movements of Nia, MOVE IT offers whole body physical conditioning, enhances movement skill whilst still allowing plenty of room for personalisation and creativity.

A Nia MOVE IT class is offered on occasion throughout term or as a pop-up class during school holidays to:
  • ​Introduce students to the MOVE IT class format
  • ​Increase knowledge of and skill with the Nia 52 moves
  • Learn, Move, Energize Nia moves
  • Gain confidence with the Nia language
  • Learn how to adapt many of the moves to better suit Your Body's Way
  • Introduce the concept of various levels of conditioning; aerobic, anaerobic, reflexive and voluntary
